An idea a day... #14

Quick and Cute Tree Ornaments
There were some gaps on our tree this year.
This was the year I went through all our ornaments and pulled out all the ornaments that were made or bought for my daughters... now with their own trees. Quite a walk down memory Lane!
I took a picture of each ornament so that I can put them in mini albums for the girls with the stories behind each ornament (after the holidays).
I made some quick... very quick... ornaments to fill in the gaps.
1. Cut a square or rectangle of colored cardstock for the background.
2. Cut the edges with a scalloping scissors or scissors of your choice.
3. Stick on a 3-D sticker or a die cut (from your stash, scrapbook or craft store).
4. Punch small holes in the upper corners.
5. Tie on a small piece of ribbon for hanging.
DONE!!
Here's the finished product on our tree.
I love the block of color.
These would also make great gift tags.
BE CREATIVE!!

Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!

Well lookie at you. These are darling. And, I do have some of those 3-d stickers that I probably WON'T use. . .what a great use for them.

I'm still throbbing from my cheeks to the top of my head. I know. . I know. . I should go to the doctor.

But I despise going to the doctor.

Off to breathe some vicks & steam!

I think this is one of my favourite ideas Joni. You need to put all these in one of your mini books and sell it! I would buy one....they are brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing! Can you remind me of this again next year? lol....that's why I need the book - lol!

Oh! Oh! Oh! I have just been goingthrough some previous posts and oh! oh!oh!
The painting on the chairs! Too, too beautiful, especially the holly one. Perhaps I may have to steal this one - do yo uhave a pattern or have you made it up all cleverly by yourself?

As for fairy bread? Yum! Sadly here in the UK they do not appreciate it - I keep trying to educate them though.

Ha! I went to the doctor. Aren't you proud of me?!?!

Am feeling some better. Now I'm thinking that the steroid shot they gave me may keep me up tonight.

If it does. . .I've got some serious scrapping to do!

I love the new header!!! The elf is so cute!

Thanks for your note (comment). I've been having some wheezing attacks, too. Usually while lying down, or when I try to breathe in too much good air.

I am glad I went to the doctor. My rear end still hurts from the shots--but that's to be expected, I guess.

I'm trying to make good use of my "upright" time by working on stuff from work that I have completely blown off the last couple of days.

I told Mark tonight that it's been a LONG time since I've been this sick. And, from what the doctor told me, the flu shot probably wouldn't have prevented this.

Oh well. . . .Have fun tomorrow!!!

BTW. .. what are your Christmas plans?

Lots of lovely ideas. I'm on holiday from work now so I'm off to hang up our cards on the doors (as we do) and do things with holly and so on.

Happy Christmas!
