WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2008

My December Day-by-Day album's page
for the 9th day of the month.
I had other photos for today but have had computer
problems today and was a growly bear.
Anyway...
this photo shows how much snow we have
and also the fact that we didn't put our umbrella away.
On the table's snow I printed 'a thought'
and used a tool on PSE7 to curve the sentence
to fit the curve of the snow.
I'm forcing myself to play with my new program
a bit each day.
~~~~~~
I added a rhinestone snowflake on the binder ring
and a snowflake that twirls on the side.
Finished it off with my journaling...
a quick sentence made with my Dymo
that will remind me that the schools
had a 'Snow Day' on the 9th in 2008.
Look at my favorite little tree by the front porch
that was about to get strung with little white lights.
The snow is so heavy that it's lost it's shape.
I think I'm too late this year.
This kind of snow, so early, is unusual for us.
What happened to global warming?
At Christmas I put out mini albums from past years.
This is 2 years ago
but our tree looks the same each year.
It is fun to look back and have your memories
sparked by the pictures.
Put on your blinders!
YES... this is the color of our front door.
The house came that way and it has yet to be
repainted.
And if you follow my blog, you know my
favorite color is red.
Red and the front door DO NOT go together.
I had to take a photo of the door color to take to the
designer who made our wreath.
Tricky color to work with, but she did a good job.
That's all for today!
I need to go to bed early so I can spend
Wednesday morning volunteering in my friend's 1st grade
classroom.
Thought for the day...
Have adventures!
Wow that is a ton of snow. We haven't had a drop yet! It is just really cold, well probably not compared to where you are, but cold enough for me to complain about it! :]
I wonder if I can do curved text in PSE 6.0. I don't think so, but it's a cool technique. I'll have to look into it. Your pink door made me think of the year my father came home with a two-toned pink car! My mother nearly had a fit. I guess it was a good deal. The amazing thing was we saw a lot of the same car once we had ours. We started with rain today, but everything is white now. Not enough for a snow day, though.
wow, that IS a front door! :)
Great layout. I love your mini-album. I keep thinking that I'd like to do one too. . . eventually.
HI Yummers! We now consider ourselves adopted! You can now brag you have a brain surgeon in the family! (McDreamy really is one...well brain and spine to be exact) We are officially blog relatives, kinda like blood relatives but nicer! The Fan is Saucy's Mom. I think I am part The Fan, maybe I was switched at birth with Saucy! OK, volunteering in a friends grade one classroom....you are winning over more of my heart each day! I began my career teaching grade 1 and did so for 5 years before switching to kindergarten and special education, I have 5 years there too!! Grade one teachers (and their helpers!) are VERY and SPECIAL unique people! I think we are gals cut from the same cloth!xox Sassy
Joni,
I love your blog! And I love your Christmas journal. You've inspired me to try one of my own. Thanks! Happy Holidays to you and those you love.
