Oh... glorious Phoenix!
Sunshine and warm weather...
family and friends...
great shopping...
yummy food...
Soooo much to be thankful for!
~~~~~~
I'm glad to be home to work on my Christmas projects
and make our home a wonderland.
~~~~~~
One of my projects that I'm working on is
a December Day-by-Day album.
This is an easy way to "...celebrate traditions and
everyday blessings during the month of December."
for lots of interesting twists and tricks for this album.
I made this ahead... which is so helpful.
Now I just add a picture and journaling each day.
As we got home at midnight last night
I had a few days to catch up on this morning.
But, with the album made ahead of time...
it's so easy.
~~~~~~
This is the album so far.
It will be added to and tweaked each day.
I put a piece of white paper under the acrylic so you can
see how it looks by itself.
The December tag is not attached to the first day page.
The 1st day of December was spent in Phoenix where we
saw beautiful palm trees wherever we looked.
found these adorable Scandinavian dolls...
which I bought.
lots of snow and ice. Ten days worth on our car at the airport.
But the trees on our street looked heavenly.
The tomte card and doll arrived before we left for Phoenix,
but I wanted it in my memory book.
I love your December book Joni. And even if you didn't get any comment, wouldn't you still love your blog for the little record it gives of what you've been doing???
that is an adorable album. it is so much fun to see what everyone has done with theirs.
Thank you for visiting my little space on the internet! I think your album is wonderful! Have a blessed Holiday Season!
Nooooo! Don't go away! I read all your lovely posts.
Oh, don't stop blogging! I check every day and I don't even know you! I just don't comment. I'm sorry. :( Please continue....
Hi Joni, Nothing like palm trees to start off a December album. I love your title page, and I think the journal is great. I have Dec. 3 done but not uploaded and haven't even started today's. Too much going on. My journal is a combination of Shimelle's Christmas Journal class and Ali E. I signed up for Shimelle's class two years ago, and after that each succeeding year is free. Some of the pages will be from the prompts she sends each day. Each year her prompts have gotten better and better. This year there's a page devoted to photography by different professionals. Don't stop blogging!!! I go days without comments. But I figure it's a record for me if no one else. I don't keep a diary or a journal so blogging is it. Your trip sounds wonderful.
You are doing a beautiful job on your album...LOVE IT!
Don't go away! I know what you mean about comments tho. I have a blog too and even tho my family and friends all read it they don't comment. Of course, here I am reading your blog every day and not commenting either. Go figure...
I read your blog too!
So glad you had a good time Joni. And so glad your daughters talked you into continuing your blog. It's an excellent form of communication for them to see all that you get up to. And you are so darn cretive...I LOVE visiting your blog - it chock full of inspiraiton.
I look forward to every post, I love your use of color. The album is wonderful.
i'll try to comment more. i know it's a lot of effort when you don't know if anyone is reading. but even when i don't comment, i'm still checking in. :)
love the album. i'm still putting mine together, lol.
See? You threaten to stop blogging, and we come out of the woodwork! :)
Welcome home!!!
I'm terrible about commenting, but I read every word!
Your album is absolutely SWEET! I think I might try one too! Lurrve the colours.
Is your DH still on his meds? If not, did his puffy face go away? Please say yes, even if it didn't.
I've only recently found your blog again so you can't leave now! I love the album you're making. I had hoped to be organised and do one this year but it hasn't happened so far. Those little Scandanavian dolls are just like some I got in Sweden in 1984 and I still like to bring them out each christmas.
