Shamrock, Wendy's precious companion, died Saturday of a brain tumor.
Shamrock, Wendy's precious companion, died Saturday of a brain tumor.Shammie was 7 years old and an adventurous little guy. He traveled wherever Wendy went. He's kayaked in Alaska, skied in a backpack in Colorado, had fallen down a waterfall in Colorado & was rescued by Forest Rangers, he's played in the surf in the Pacific and the Atlantic, lived in Washington DC, and had just moved to Arizona. He was a big fan of McDonald's cheeseburgers and loved floating on a raft in the pool.
Please say a prayer for Wendy as she goes through this painful time.

OH that is sad Joni! It is such a lovely photo and I am sure there are many wonderful memories....I wish you all well at this painful time!
I was right. . .I'm so sorry. Shamrock lived a fuller life than lots of people I know.

I love Westies, our local vet breed them and the litters are gorgeous. I feel for Wendy, it is a great loss when a pet passes away. We had a Dalmation for 13 years and Henry was another child to us, you just can't replace them. Thank you for telling us about Shammies great adventures.
If you make the almond cake anyone will be your friend I'm sure, it is just so delicious and especially to me as I can't eat gluten. I ate the last little sliver for dessert, yum!

I’m so sorry Joni. You can be so heartbroken when you have to say goodbye to your pets. My first cat Joris lived for 22 years. He died a few days after I graduated. It felt like he had waited for that. Shammie lived such a wonderful life and brought so much joy! Great photos!

Oh, soooo sad Joni. It's so hard when we lose our sweet pets. And westies are just the sweetest, most adorable dogs. Hugs for Wendy....
Very sad. Its hard losing an animal. I know I have lost my share of animals and I have cried so many times for them. He looks so sweet though in the few photo's you posted.
I am so very sorry for Wendy's loss, loosing a pet is difficult, loosing your soul mate in fur is horrible, (have been there myself) Everyone loves their pets, but some pets are so so so much more... I wish for her a finding of peace.....
It is very sad about Sham. That's such a cute photo you posted. But Shamrock was lucky to have had such an exciting life, and such a good "mom". I'm glad I got a chance to know him. I know how much Wendy will miss him!
