"HOMEMADE MEMORIES':
Valentine's Day

~Friday~

I've been felting wool and I wanted to make something
that I could use at least one piece of it on.
I'll really start exploring/sharing it after Valentine's Day.

~~~~~
The inner pink heart is from a pink sweater I felted.
It was fun to sew on and I just stitched abstractly with
my machine.
The buttons came off a red sweater I'd felted and are
the cutest little flower shape. I should have taken
a close up of one before I started today's post.
The green leaves are a mixture of wool,
synthetic, and felted wool felt.
The light pink dots are French knots.
I blanket stitched around the outside of the felt to
join the front and back together. The stitching is even
although it didn't photograph that way.
Matter of fact all of the photos are not great but
it's already afternoon and I didn't want to take the
time to take them again.
The heart has found a home on the dining nook wall.
I just transformed the guest bathroom with fun
Valentine's goodies.
I'll share with you on Monday!
Joni thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas with us!! Love the heart...I was laughing at all the french knots...I used to do embroidery when I was younger, stopped doing it because I couldn't do the darn french knots..ugh!! Every time I see a french knot now I cringe...I switched to cross-stitch, lol...Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs ~Wendy~
Very cute!!!! I watched a show last week about felting wool. I'm intrigued, but not enough to add it to my list of hobbies.
