When I get an idea in my head, I have to try it!!
So, with all the things I should be doing... I made pillowcases this morning for the bed which will be redecorated on Thursday when the holiday bedding arrives. Oh well... for the next 5 days we can enjoy this look!
The pillowcases are made of a soft Amy Butler fabric and the blue polka dot band is a Kaffe Fassett fabric. The red trim is... no idea! But I like the way it all came together. I can't wait to go to bed tonight and read and sip tea.
Plans for the weekend:
1. Finish 4 Halloween pillowcases for my daughters.
2. Pack their Halloween boxes to be mailed Monday. I'll post a picture of all the fun things I found to send them.
3. Pack a box of cows for Nicolette (that should raise an eyebrow).
4. Get doll ready for mailing to Angie's Caroline.
5. Get magazines ready to mail to winner Pat.
6. Wrap digi mini albums I made for 2 friends.
7. Make chicken piccata for dinner.
(With Boyd in his cast, I'm getting some kitchen time)
8. Pedicure
9. Sew some Fall & Halloween napkins
10. Library returns
11. Read blogs!
12. Grocery store
13. Watch a movie with Boyd.
There... I've put it in black & white. Now I'm committed to complete it all.
Enjoy your weekend!!

This is an impressive list, my friend. I can't wait to see what happens when the new bedding arrives! Blog pictures for sure!!!!!
That pillowcase is beautiful Joni! I had never heard of Amy Butler before entering blogland and I wouldn't normally be drawn to such bold fabric but it has been sneaking up on me lately and I love it! Lucy x
P.S. Good luck with the task-list!
The pillowcases are soo beautiful!
You have some serious business to take care of! I get tired from reading your list... Halloween-packages, dolls, magazines. The pedicure sounds fine! Please take care the cow‘s have some hay in the package! (LOL))))
OMG I want those pillowcases!! Just gorgeous...makes me think of redoing our bedroom, they are so fresh and funky looking.
great job!

The pillowcases look fabulous--I love the fabrics you used. Such a busy list you have going there but I'm like you, if I write it down then it tends to get done.
Oh this life of leisure you persue...why don't you get busy and make a pillowcase or two!
Joni, I laugh everytime I check you post...I didn't think anyone could be more active than me...You take the prize girlfriend!!
And those pillowcases are wonderful! :)
Simply stunning!!! I wouldn't have the heart to replace that look anytime soon!!!
Yikes! You're going to need a 7 day weekend, Joni, if you want to complete everything. I say just get the pedicure, order a pizza, and snuggle with Boyd for the rest of the weekend.
Oh, and don't forget to pack up those gorgeous pillowcases and send them to me after you get your new linens ;)
I do love, love, love the pillowcases!! Beautiful fabric, so colourful! You are such a creative person. Oh, and that list...how many hours do you have in your day??

Hi Joni,
I love those pillowcases! Your weekend task list is way to long. I do hope that your husband is feeling better. I hope that you have a slower week than your fast paced weekend.

OMGosh Joni! I am so with you on creating the right environment for sipping tea (do you drink herbal?) and reading. That room will do just fine :)
I am the biggest list maker too...but I think yours wins hands down! I am getting real good at scratching them out and writing them in other days.
Me...I am trying to wade through my inbox and post another video for Grammy J
I love the fabric! It is what I would like to do with my bedroom. I saw a similar thing in a Pottery Barn catalog.
