Sewing Project #3

This is an apron I finished today for my daughter Wendy.
My new sewing machine is beginning to feel more familiar and comfortable. The fabric is from JoAnn's. It is a fairly sturdy fabric and was perfect for an apron. The ties at the waist are quite long so that she can wrap them around and tie them in the front if she wants... or not
The bow on the pocket was removed as I thought it looked too 'foo-foo' for Wendy. She lives in Arizona so the colors are good year-round.

Next project... hmmmm?? Something for my other daughter Kristin? A Kaffe Fassett quilted purse with tortoise shell handles for Fall? So many possibilities...

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

This is just gorgeous. You did amazing, my friend!!!

Mark's hanging a ceiling fan in the office area. . .where I anticipate doing some sewing. Although this table that I'm typing on (in our room) may also be the haven for the machine.

My sister's leaving MI for TN tomorrow - so I really *need* to get the curtains done for the kitchen.

Had fun at the river today - mom & dad's house - and took the kids swimming/boat-riding.

I'll e-mail more, and blog some pictures!

Joni, it's the most darling apron ever. Did you use a pattern or just wing it? Loving the ruffly pocket especially. Fizzy would just so want one of those (so I won't show her!! Kidding) xx
