MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
*************
I 've been cross-stitching between wedding preparations.
I finished this last night... in very poor light.
The flower needs to be ripped out and redone and
the whole thing needs a good pressing.
But, I wanted to take a quick pic of it so I could share it
on this red, white, and blue weekend.
~
This was my first attempt at cross stitch and I found it
to be very relaxing.
My next embroidery will be "something blue"
for Wendy's wedding...
The wedding date in blue on satin to be sewn in her
wedding dress.
Thanks to Anna and Junie Moon for the idea.

These books arrived from Amazon and I'm anxious to curl
up with a cup of tea and absorb them.
They are a Mother's Day gift from my sweet husband.
(It pays to keep a WISH LIST on Amazon)
~
By mistake, Boyd ordered 2 copies of one of them, but
I won't tell you which one as it will be my GIVEAWAY
next week for my 1st Blog Anniversary.

Ooooo... I'm missing one book and Blogspot
wants to put it at the top of the cue.
A Passion for Patchwork by Lise Bergene.
(100 quilted projects... and I love most of them)
~
JENNY CRAIG UPDATE...
14.6 pounds lost!
~
Have a wonderful weekend...
make it wonderful!

I'm an old cross stitcher from way back, although I haven't done anything recently. This is wonderful for a first attempt! Good for you!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Hope your shoulder is healing nicely.

I love your something blue idea! When are you ever going to find time to read all those wonderful books?! What a sweet gift! We have been talking about you a lot this week as our girls have been making all kinds of cards with the fun papers you sent them. They are having a blast! Thank you SO much! :) Have a great weekend!

LOVE your cross stitch! Me, I'm a knitter and a sewer. I've tried cross stitch, but it drives my eyes crazy!

Check you out -- losing nearly 15 pounds!!! I am so proud of you.

I love your cross-stitch project. I love to cross stitch -- and this is my favorite type -- wording with little designs.

I, too, love the idea of stitching the wedding date into the dress. Very cool.

Have a wonderful Mem. Day Weekend!!!

Wow Joni -- you're doing awesome with your Jenny Craig -- Congratulations! Love your little cross stitch -- I haven't done cross stitch in years but I have several unfinished projects -- maybe I should drag them out again and get to work!

You have never cross stitched??? I learnt at school and have done so since about the age of 12. I love it. Active meditation I say. Looking forward to the day I get to do it some more. Just not enough hours in the day.

Hope you have a super weekend my friend.

What an adorable cross-stitch project, Joni, it's really lovely. Your new books look so scrumptious and full of fun things. I'll have to pop over to Amazon.com and see what books I can add to my collection.
