I'm in Looooooooove!!!

Meet Otter!!
He's a 2.5 year old Beagle that I saw at the animal shelter yesterday. It was love at first sight!! There is usually a 4 day wait but my timing was right and I was able to take him home yesterday. Otter came to the shelter because his owners were moving and couldn't take him with them. He craves attention and has a big heart! He is gentle and loving and is already mending my broken heart. He was up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered... perfect!
Yes... he slept in my bed last night (well it's a king size). I slept with one eye open keeping an eye on him and we ended up going for a walk at 5:00 AM. The walking is just what I needed to burn some calories and Otter loves to be outside. With all the warm weather we've been having, there is a lot of MUD out there! So we'll have to wait a bit before we go to the dog park.
I need a nap!!
Hugs to all!
Joni
PS He doesn't mind the flash on the camera... Yea!!

WooHoo! It's Otter's Lucky Day! How wonderful for you Joni! It's so funny, I was just reading Nicolette's post about you finding a new kitty -- tell Otter he's a very fine looking cat indeed LOL!

Oh my, Otter is a darling and I'm so glad the two of you met. Otter probably had a broken heart, too, since his owners had to leave him behind. I think this is a wonderful thing you're doing for yourself as well as precious Otter.

I'm so happy for you, Joni, and happy Otter found a good home! He is a cutie, and I love the name! I tried to e-mail you some pix, but I may not have your current e-mail address. It'll be fun keeping up on all your fun with your new housemate!!

There's nothing cuter than the face of a smiling beagle. Otter has landed on his feet - sleeping on the bed the first night! I have 2 beagles who also sleep on the bed. You'll love him, he looks so happy, just make sure the gate is padlocked!
